This park is home to several iconic landmarks including the Cape May Lighthouse, the Fire Control Tower and the Bunker which remains from our national defense efforts during WWII. This park is free to the public, an ideal location for birding, picnics, painting, photography, and nature walks. Explore dunes, marshes, and several hiking trails. Lots of free parking and no admission fees.

Cape May is home to the Washington Street Mall, an outdoor walking mall spanning three blocks, with brick pathways, decorative fountains, and wooden benches surrounding garden planters. This wonderful collection of shops is within easy walking distance of our home. Plan to walk via the beach promenade and turn straight up Perry Street or you can wind your way there through our historic town via Hughes Street. You may also like to visit West End Garage (a slightly more ambitious walk) and Beach Plum Farm (a short bicycle or car ride). The Cape May/Lewes Ferry is a worthwhile day trip and provides easy access to the unique historic town of Lewes with tax free Delaware shopping too!
The Cape May County Park & Zoo in Cape May Court House, New Jersey, provides free year-round admission to a collection of more than 550 animals representing 250 species in 85 acres of exhibits.
Cape May National Golf Club is one of the most natural golf courses ever built. Nicknamed "The Natural," the course surrounds a fifty acre private bird sanctuary.
This sheltered harbor is an idyllic scene of sailboats and yachts gliding through gently rippling waters. There is a tiny beach in a quiet cove with a few picnic tables.
