Cape May is home to the Washington Street Mall, an outdoor walking mall spanning three blocks, with brick pathways, decorative fountains, and wooden benches surrounding garden planters. This wonderful collection of shops is within easy walking distance of our home.  Plan to walk via the beach promenade and turn straight up Perry Street or you can wind your way there through our historic town via Hughes Street. You may also like to visit West End Garage (a slightly more ambitious walk) and Beach Plum Farm (a short bicycle or car ride). The Cape May/Lewes Ferry is a worthwhile day trip and provides easy access to the unique historic town of Lewes with tax free Delaware shopping too!
